Imported Brass Models
New England Rail has been working with importers of models of
New England prototypes for over thirty years and has been responsible for the
design and manufacture of a number under its own label as well. In fact, there
are less than one half dozen models of northern New England steam locomotives
in HO scale that we have not been involved with in some way, whether providing
blueprints, drawings, photos, design work and advice or having the model done
ourselves. Some of these are shown below.

Rutland #24 - The Rutland's eighteen Class G-34
2-8-0 locomotives were the road's single largest locomotive class ever.. Read

Rutland #75 - The Rutland's F-2 class 4-6-0's
were the lines passenger power contemporaries of the G-34 2-8-0's. Read

Rutland #82 - The last of three new 4-6-2 Pacific
types delivered to the Rutland by Alco in 1925, these were also the last models
imported by N.E.R.S.. Read

Central Vermont #231 - C.V. Class K-3 4-6-2 was
one of a class of four 4-6-2's constructed for the C.V. by Baldwin in 1912; the
last locomotives Baldwin would ever build for the road. Read

C.V. #451 - This is the Central Vermont's Class
M-3-a 2-8-0, the prototypes of which were constructed by Alco in 1916. Read

C.V. #471 - The Central Vermont's Class N-S-a
2-8-0's were the most modern in New England, having been constructed by Alco in
1923 and continually up dated by the railroad. Read

Central Vermont #701 - Always a favorite, I
remember the C.V's #700's best from my father pacing them northbound out of
Montpelier Jct., along U.S. Rt. 2, on occasion when on the way home from family
errands in our state capital. Read

B & M #2415 - This model of B & M Class
K-7 2-8-0 #2417 was designed and imported by New England Rail in 1985. Read

B & M #2649 - A Class K-8b 2-8-0 from
February 1913, this was the type that did it all for the B & M for many
years. They were big locomotives for their Consolidation type when first built
and lost little over the years. Read

4-4-2's were products of Alco, #3204 - #3209 coming from Schenectady in May
